The Opportunity
Amogy recently relocated its headquarters to the growing energy hub of Houston, Texas. Its new facility will help expand its products into challenging sectors such as shipping, power generation, and heavy-duty transportation, accelerating the global push for emission-free transportation fuel.
Our Approach
Established in 2020, Amogy needed to quickly scale up its operational power. Located within an industrial park, the new facility repurposes an existing manufacturing building, maintaining the original building structure and reducing the overall embodied carbon of the project. The renewable energy start-up's technology unlocks more uses for ammonia, turning it into a clean energy source that can be used as emission-free fuel. The space is designed to meet their reactor fabrication, assembly, and testing needs. Amogy’s bold colors and graphic identity is implemented throughout space, highlighting its mission-focused impact.
Collaborating with HGA (Amogy’s engineering and CM team), KSS transformed the building from a blend of old metal sheds into a transparent and colorful workplace and manufacturing floor, meeting today’s energy standards and building codes. Phase 2 includes a dedicated display area that weaves through the facility without disrupting operations. This integration allows visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the complex process behind Amogy’s transformational research. With its American-based manufacturing facility opening soon, Amogy is well on its way to hitting its target of being one of the newest members of the carbon-free transportation industry by 2050.
