KSS Architects is serving as architect on the design-build team for the $405 million modernization of the Hunts Point Produce Market, advancing sustainable cold storage and food distribution infrastructure in the Bronx.
Hunts Point Produce Market in the Bronx is a transformative cold storage and food distribution infrastructure project that will modernize one of New York City’s most critical supply chain hubs.
The redevelopment will deliver a new all-electric refrigerated warehouse and intermodal logistics facility designed to improve operational efficiency, strengthen regional food supply resilience, and support sustainable cold chain operations. The project includes upgraded temperature-controlled storage, enhanced freight connectivity, and modernized infrastructure that will significantly reduce emissions while advancing long-term environmental and economic goals for the Hunts Point community.
Aurora-Primus, a joint venture between Aurora Contractors, LLC and Primus Builders, Inc., was conditionally selected by NYCEDC as the design-build team leading the effort, with KSS Architects contributing expertise in industrial architecture, logistics facility planning, and sustainable design solutions.
